Designed for beginner to advanced levels of yoga. (Doctor’s restrictions to physical exercise and movement apply). Kavanah Yoga workshops incorporate asana (poses), meditation, pranayama (breath work) and journaling.
Three Session Workshops (60, 75, or 90 minutes per session*)
- Session One: “Love thy neighbor as thyself”Experiencing love and non-judgment during the practice of yoga. How well can you love your neighbor when you keep slinging arrows of criticism at yourself? Cultivating a healthy (balanced) love of self and others through yoga.Concepts: Balance, Non-Violence, and Liberation
- Session Two: “You Shall be Holy”Polishing the soul-globe to allow your inner goodness to shine more brightly. We incorporate the Jewish discipline of Mussar in our yoga and meditation practice.Concepts: Awareness, Presence, and Breath
- Session Three: “Cathedral in Time and Space”Creating a cathedral of presence and finding a place of “letting go” in every moment. The importance of surrender and rest on the yoga mat and in Judaism.Concepts: Effort, Pause, Surrender

- Session One: “Hear, Oh Israel…”Bringing awareness to the breath-mind-body connection and transcendent oneness. We discover the stillness in movement and the movement in stillness. Through stillness we cultivate awe which connects us back to oneness.Concepts: Awe, Oneness, and Stillness
- Session Two: “To Everything There is a Season…”Cultivating kavanah (intention) in our yoga practice and in our lives, yet recognizing the importance and necessity of yielding and “going with the flow.” Recognizing when to stay and when to let go.Concepts: Intention, Truth,. - “Hineni: Here I Am”Where are you right now? Lost in thought, focusing on the past or worried about the future? Life only happens in the present. Get ready to feel more peaceful and centered by arriving in the now.
